Seaborn Manufacturing produces built to print tube laser cut components from customer drawings for OEM and industrial production. Our Waterloo, Ontario tube laser processes round, square and rectangular tubing in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, adding holes, slots, notches, miters, end profiles and locating features with repeatable CNC positioning.

Parts can be supplied as cut-only components or coordinated with CNC tube bending, machining, CWB-certified welding, inspection and assembly. The best fit is recurring production or defined production programs. Small cut-only jobs are considered when customer-supplied tube avoids inefficient material sourcing.

Round Tube Laser Cutting

Seaborn laser cuts round tube from ¾ in. to 9 in. outside diameter. Incoming stock lengths up to 8 m can be processed through the automated bundle feeder to support recurring production. Drawing review confirms the material, wall thickness, cut geometry, tolerances and finished-part length.

Square and Rectangular Tube Laser Cutting

Seaborn processes square tube from ¾ in. to 6 in. and rectangular tube up to 8 × 4 in., subject to the machine’s 9 in. circumscribed-profile limit. Accurate corner radii in the CAD model help maintain feature location as the tube rotates. Profile, wall thickness and geometry are confirmed during drawing review.

Laser Cut Features for Production Parts

Tube laser cutting can combine cut-to-length operations with holes, slots, notches, miters, end profiles and locating features in one programmed process. These features can reduce drilling, sawing and manual layout while improving fit-up for bending, welding and assembly. Seaborn’s laser cuts square to the tube surface and does not provide full bevel cutting.

Drawing Review and Repeatable Tube Laser Production

Reliable tube laser cutting begins with accurate drawing and tube data. Before quoting, Seaborn reviews the material grade, tube profile, outside dimensions, wall thickness, corner radii, part length, cut features and required tolerances. Dimensions measured from an outside edge and long feature to feature dimensions are identified because tube variation and sag can affect final results.

After requirements are confirmed, established CNC programs and appropriate inspection methods support repeat orders. Clearly identified drawing revisions help ensure parts are produced to the correct requirements. Components can be supplied after tube laser cutting or moved into bending, machining, welding, inspection and assembly as defined by the production program.

Seaborn primarily processes round, square and rectangular tube. General capacity ranges are ¾–9 in. outside diameter for round tube, ¾–6 in. for square tube and rectangular tube up to 8 × 4 in., subject to the machine’s 9 in. circumscribed-profile limit.

For recurring production programs, Seaborn prefers to source and supply the tube. For small cut-only jobs, tube supplied by the customer is preferred because it avoids inefficient material sourcing. Both arrangements can be considered.

No. Seaborn’s tube laser does not have a swing head, so it cannot produce full bevel cuts through the tube wall. It can produce miter cuts, end profiles, holes, slots, notches and locating features while the laser head remains square to the tube surface.

 

Typical tube laser lead times are two to three weeks. We can not guarantee any lead time without a prior mutual commitment. 

Lead time depends on material availability, part geometry, quantity, downstream operations and current production scheduling. A committed lead time is provided through the quotation and order process; Seaborn does not publish a blanket guaranteed lead time.
