The Seaborns provided steel fabricated parts and weldments for a variety of industries, such as health care and security. They experienced growth with the business and started to supply clients in the United States as well as continuing to serve their Canadian clients. Seaborn quickly grew into metal stamping and tube bending with a strong skill set in welding.
David Drescher, a local entrepreneur, bought the company from the Seaborn family in 2005. Dave had previously owned and operated a successful machine building business. He grew the company and added CNC machining capabilities to Seaborn Manufacturing’s list of services, in order to meet clients’ increasingly diverse needs.
In 2007, Seaborn answered their clients’ steady demand for high quality powder coating by adding their own powder coat system.
In 2010 Seaborn Manufacturing added a DCC CMM to help keep up with its need for tight tolerance diverse part inspection. This combined with the PC-DIMIS software package has allowed for quick accurate part measurement to ISO standards. In 2015 we finally decided to make it official and became ISO 9001:2008 certified.
Over the years, Seaborn has continued to grow with its clients, particularly in the areas of patient care, technology, power generation, and heavy equipment. The company is constantly evolving to keep up with the ever-changing market, but our commitment to product quality has stayed the same.
Dave Drescher explains, “The business has changed dramatically, with our work today being more aluminum fabrication and precision machining. Much of our work is prototypes. We continue to strive to improve our services, and believe our year over year increases in sales proves it. We truly appreciate our loyal clients choosing to work with us. We thank all our clients for their continued support and faith in Seaborn Manufacturing.”
